on the brink of the 2011, we would like to thank you for the support you have been giving us so far. It was interesting year for us. We launched Tunnelers in local beta and have got so much of feedback that we would have to multiply our dev team 30 times to be able to process it all ;) I´m really excited of what is going to happen once we launch it in Europe with our partners :)

Anyway, we hope it was great year for you too and that the next one will be at least that good! And careful with your fingers tomorrow :)

Hey all!

Here at Tunnelers, we're doing everything to bring you the best possible stuff to play with. As I've mentioned earlier things can get a little tough financially. We have therefore thought of a plan, which will both, pay our bills for electricity to power our dev computers and bring you cool things at the same time. To bring this into an attention, our CEO Filip Kuna wrote a really interesting blog post on just how we've done it.

The people form Gamasutra.com liked it so much that they've set the blog post as a featured article! We've got over 40% pledged and we would be very thankful if you could back the project too! Eventually, it will all end up in new features and new tanks and maps :)

Pic Of The Week - The Surprise

Hey all!

Long time no see! We know that have been away for quite some time. We had to go though the tons of feedback from our closed BETA test, which gave us an insight into what players really want.
This week's Pic of The Week is just one of many to come. Let me present you with our very new turret! As it is still a surprise, I'm not going to give you any more info on them :)

At the moment, the weather and life on the surface of our planet is nice and warm. But none of this is true for the tough, scary and freezing world of Tunnelers under your feet. Are you strong enough to survive or will you be one of the first ones to get defeated?

We are bringing you the latest info about the catastrophe that occured under the Earth's surface. Fortunately, no one was injured and the area is now safe thanks to our rescue convoy of Tunnelers military operations. What are your thoughts on this? What could have caused such misfortune?

Have you seen this before? No? Well, we didn't either. From the information that is available to us, a new territory has been discovered by our team of explorers. They have sent us this remarkable photo of what appears to be a sculpture of an angel. What are your thoughts on this?

Ever wondered what is the secret of the devs? Well, gejmerqoo told me a secret today and sent me a proof to go with it. What you see on this picture is 5 damage boosts. What do you think? Have you any similar experiences with 'overpoweredness'?

We are very happy that we have you guys with us. You give us the motivation to work harder and to improve our precious game! Do you still remember the last fan art in one of our pics of the week? Well, recently, we received another sketch from mortty. We don't know the name of this tank yet, nor it's functions. Can you, perhaps, come up with a name for this mighty beast?

So, do you remember how I mentioned that I will travel to Bratislava to meet the guys responsible for our precious game on Twitter and Facebook Fanpage? Well, I made a photo or two of them to show you the brains and souls behind it. The first photo is from our brainstorming lunch session with gejmerqoo on the left and egor on the right. The second photo shows the Tunnelers HQ with the guys coding away the new Tunnelers cadet. In other words, where the 'magic' happens. :-P

That's how it is with Tunnelers. :-) This week is special and it is special because we proudly present to you a picture of a tank, which has been designed by amnart, one of our fans! Tunnelers has gone a long way since it's development started. We have tried different ideas and different concepts. To show you how much different it looked in the beginning , we have reached into our archive for these two screenshots. As you can see, this is a 2D version of our Tunnelers and a completely different layout to what you can find in a version from this year. Quite a change, don't you think?

And welcome to our weekly Pic Of The Week session. Today, we went to a photo shoot and took a group photo of all of our tanks. As you can see, the photographer did a good job and captured the tanks at their best.
There are 3 different fractions on this photo, of which the green fraction will only be unlocked to our premium members as a premium content. We have more than this ready to roll out for the premium members, including new maps and other improvements.

We are looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield, as the D-Day is closer than you might think :)

Our Tunnelers project is getting pretty close to the open BETA release stage and as a part of the process, we had an Alpha test yesterday. The Dev Team scored again and brought us the best version yet with some pretty nifty and mind blowing features. Gejmerqo took the camera and captured some pretty cool pictures.
You may have noticed that we have thrown in 5 free places to join with our Alpha Team yesterday on our Facebook Fanpage, so make sure you check it out :)
All in all, it has been a great session and we are looking forward to seeing you all on the battlefield very soon!

PS: Gejmerqo told me that he was 'owning' everyone in there, so be prepared for some rather serious competition.

We bring you another pic of the week today :) In the screenshot, you can see our team of alpha testers recharging after a really exhausting bug-reporting session. Everyone seems to be hanging around gejmerqo (who is by the way 'Test9' in this pic - maybe he wants to stay undercover) with no interest in me whatsovever in the upper right corner of the base. Oh well, it seems that gejmerqo is the celebrity that the masses love!

Here we have an exclusive picture taken by some paparazzi. The picture has been taken from the undeground garage, under the Tunnelers office. This particular tank belongs to the big boss Egor who is still in the office finetuning the game, so it is ready to be shipped to the BETA Testers. Btw did you notice he is parking on the place for disabled, taking two spaces?

We would like to prepare you for the BETA and by 'prepare', we mean to tease you. :-) Every week, there will be one picture published here, on our website, which will uncover the making of Tunnelers and some pretty cool behind the scenes actions.

We shall begin with the first picture taken by our dev team. You can see 9 separate screens, each representing 1 player on 1 PC. Maybe the guys from the dev team are skilled enough to control 9 players at a time. Who knows?
